One Small Step, One or the Other and One Dark Night

These three pieces were developed between 2011 and 2014, and were performed as part of Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival at the Riverside Studios.

One Small Step follows a couple as they witness their small child walking for the first time (you can see and hear a version of this below).

One Or The Other explores how cookery programmes meeting Tom and Jerry find their musical form in an a cappella swing jazz trio as three flat mates enjoy an evening of fine dining and flirting.

One Dark Night is a study of one woman’s loneliness as she returns home, defeated by the everyday monotony of life and loss and spends a night retracing memories.
